Hey everybody, I "finished" the first scene of my film today. Not the first scene, the sixth, but the first to film-ready finish. I may have to go back and tweak for effect and sound but overall this is how its running.

Getting to be that time again.

I'm talking about the second semester where we will see who will succeed and who will fail, who's got the stuff and who doesn't. So its about time I put the stuff from first semester up, eh? This is my action analysis and its a robot pushing a hippo off his shovel.

Sven the Circus Bear vs. Jazz Music

So, after a month's worth of rent and seven weeks I've come up with this. I'm pretty happy with the results and I have to say I did learn a bunch, both about animating to music and just animating. Summer time tunes

Hey everybody. With the start of summer also brings the horrible boredom that comes with it. However, this year I have vowed to stay busy and productive. Of course there's work and this year to keep me busy I signed up for an Animating to Music course at the school taught by the always delightful Mark Mayerson. Its already proving challenging as music is complicated and something I haven't had experience with since 8th grade. So we'll see how it goes. I'm excited still because if it does work, animation to music is always a treat. Here's the character I'll be working with and for those of you who are curious I'm using a piece of a jazz tune called "Django" by the Modern Jazz Quartet.

Year Two Stuff

Whoo! The semester is finished and the grades are in. Its a weird feeling, not having another wave of stuff to do but I'm sure I'll grow to enjoy it soon enough. So, without further adieu, these are my last second year animations and my final layout assignment.
